The Ferrari FF is a Ferrari First. No, that's not what FF stands for. The FF actually stands for Ferrari Four. Yes, it has four seats but that's not what is unusual about this new Ferrari which was officially unveiled to the public at the Geneva motor show in March 2011. What's unusual is that this radical looking Ferrari is the first ever four wheel drive production Ferrari road car. |

The FF is actually a Ferrari First on two counts. Not only is it the first four wheel drive model but it is also the first production Ferrari road car with a hatchback configuration, otherwise known as a shooting brake. These last two points make the fact that it has four seats rather unremarkable. In fact, the FF replaces Ferrari's previous four seater, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. |

The Ferrari FF is no shopping cart though. It is, Ferrari claims, the World's fastest four seater as it doesn't top out until 208 mph, courtesy of its 651hp naturally aspirated 6.3 litre V12. In fact the engine is also a first in that it is the largest engine ever produced by Ferrari. It will also get from zero to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds. Rather quicker that the rest of the hot hatches in the World. It is rather more expensive though at around $300,000 a pop. That's about £185,000 Sterling. |

Ferrari seem to have gone out their way to make the FF much more of an every day car, if of course you fancy using a £185k supercar every day that is. One thing is for sure, a little snow or heavy rain won't slow you down too much with the more than capable four wheel drive system at your disposal and there is plenty of room for the kids in the back seat and shopping in the boot. |
